  1. Preserving and enhancing lives during emergencies and reducing poverty by expanding access to food security and livelihoods and fostering resilience among women and girls.
  2. Better protection of human rights defenders and women rights activists.
  3. Less gender inequality in education and greater access to education.
  4. Greater accessibility to SRHR services (HIV/AIDS, primary health care, and mother and child care); and eliminating all forms of discrimination and harassment (physical and sexual).
  5. Greater accessibility to WASH services (water, sanitation, and hygiene); education, humanitarian aid, curbing GBV services, economic empowerment, social development, community development, and skills development.

Strategic Objectives

  1. To protect livelihoods in crisis situations, enhance resilience to shocks and strengthen the capacities of communities by improving livelihoods and helping households that depend on degraded natural resources to shift to more sustainable livelihoods.
  2. To advocate, promote and protect human rights, particularly women and girls' rights.
  3. To increase access to free basic education for children belonging to poor and underprivileged communities, reduce gender disparity in education, and empower poor pastoral households to invest in human capital through education and agriculture training in Afghanistan.
  4. To support and improve access to health services (Primary health care and Mother and Child Care, SRHR, HIV/AIDS), nutrition, and the nutrition-related health status of children, women, and other vulnerable people.
  5. To increase access to WASH services (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in both urban and rural areas in Afghanistan.

Area Of Concern

  1. Tackle the structural causes of inequality for women by taking a transformative and rights-based approach.
  2. Address climate change from a gender justice perspective.
  3. Tackle gender-based violence and ensure freedom from all forms of GBV.
  4. Empower women by providing them with socio-cultural and economic opportunities.
  5. Work with women and girls who achieved education and professional education over the last year to preserve their expertise and build their capacities, enabling them to take roles once conditions are conducive.
  6. Provide humanitarian aid distributions and access to lifesaving services in emergency situations.
  7. Protect women's rights, advance their equal leadership, and integrate them into the peace and security agenda.
  8. Promote their inclusion in all levels of society through skill-building, vocational programs, and entrepreneurship.

  11. Support adult and non-formal education.
